I wish I had more stars to give out. Wow! I haven't had great service such as this in a long time. I came in and was greeted by a very friendly and professional smog technician named Julian. He asked that I move my car to the next service bay, and then asked me to go into the office to arrange my car smog service. Right there! Courteous and Freindly! In the past, and at other smog places, I would have been yelled at, "Not to park there"! Big difference already. This particular Smog Man service franchise came highly reccomended to me by friends and co-workers. I wasn't prepared to be treated so nicely and promptly. Over the last few years, I had unsuccessfully tried to find a good and professional smog person, who was not only honest, but also friendly. Needless to say, I had a series of bad experiences. This made me very trepiditious about going to get my car smogged at all. So when I met the team here at Smog Man, I was very surprised at my overall experience. Cathy, who works inside, was very friendly, yet professional. She came off as confident and competent in her ability in handling her job. (She was assisting a person that was ahead of me). Again, Wow!, something not often experienced in a long time. The transaction went smoothly. When it was my turn, it was straightforward, fast, and easy too. I'm telling you... I feel as if I had just sat down in the couch in the waiting room, when the nice gentleman/ serviceman Julain, came into the office and handed Cathy my car keys and paperwork. Like Joe Dirt would have said... "Dhhhhannnnngggggg"! I am very impressed, surprised, and happy that I took a chance here at Smog Man. I highly recommend that you make every effort to come here, and don't forget to tell friends, family, co- workers about his place. You will not be disappointed!. Thank you again Julian and Cathy!

When I arrived, I did not realize that I had already used their services in the past. They recently relocated to their new/current location from Lincoln Ave/W San Carlos in San Jose. You won't be able to miss them driving on Auzerais Ave at their new location; however, parking may be a bit scarce since it's tucked in a court-like location with a lot of other hobo and abandoned looking vehicles. Nevertheless, they performed the services necessary in a timely manner. They even have a large screen TV + couch with Netflix so that you can "Netflix and Chill" while you wait for your vehicle to be smogged.

Great people, great easy access location, good prices (just ask for the coupon price if you don't have one). Clean, comfortable, spacious waiting room with real receptionists!

Very fast, short wait times, clean office, cool office, great friendly and helpful staff!!!! I learned about this place by picking some one up while I was ubering!!! I will be taking my other car there next year and this one there two years from now!!!! I hope still just as fast lol :)

Clean and friendly. If you check in on yelp (or show them the coupon on their website) you get a big discount. They have a nice waiting room, so I didn't mind the wait.

Came here for the first time this weekend. Great experience! Loved the centrally located shop near downtown and the CalTrain station. Staff was super pleasant and helpful. And this place has got to be the nicest and most comfortable wait room I've experienced at any smog shop. I was in at 8:15 am and out by 8:45sh. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a smog check.

This is a great place for a Smog test. Friendly staff, affordable and quick service! I tried to book an appointment but was told to come back at any time. The facilities are very clean and the waiting area is very comfortable.

Great place to get your Smog Test done. Accurate, fast and no wait time. Crews are extremely friendly. When I brought my car to smog test, they found out my battery was not register ; therefore smog test would not pass. They asked me to return in a week to redo for free! Thank you :)!!!

I came to them back in September 2016 when I revived my current daily driver and realized I was in such a rush to get my vehicle up and running I never left them a review. I will say their current location compared to previous one is much, much nicer, and you definitely won't miss it since it's a corner building. I rarely venture into downtown san jose, I looked at their shop location on Google Maps, found it instantly as soon as I turned off from Bird onto Auzerais. I will definitely come back again, they've got the best deal around compared to other smog shops that are not gas station smog stations (I don't trust gas stations, just personal preference). I found a Groupon deal for a certain percentage off original price at the last second and they honored the deal, I didn't have to buy it beforehand so that definitely saved me, thanks to them. I had some free time on my hands so I went midday during the week (Thursday afternoon at the time of this posting and had smog check done at noon). I remember Kathy from my first visit, she's a super friendly lady, gave me all the info I needed both over the phone and in person. I think it took around 20-30 minutes, not bad at all considering some places I've been to takes about 45 minutes, and the technician was also incredibly nice and knowledgeable. I am definitely recommending this place to anyone who lives locally in San Jose and those who are willing to drive out here because they took awesome care of me. Thanks Smog Man!
