Very polite workers. They were the cheapest place i could find, not charging extra for a pre-2000 car. They honored the Groupon price without having to buy the groupon. Paid 41.25 out the door. Very comfortable waiting area, with leather couches, tv and a video game table. Clean, despite it being a pretty sketchy neighborhood. They had a couple large dogs in crates, for "security". Overall, a positive experience. I would return.

Great friendly service, clean lobby, a free arcade game machine to keep you entertained, and fast service. Smog checked two cars each under 15 minutes.

Kay is a knowledgeable and quick. His staff treats me like gold. Excellent for smog check or repairs.

Coolest Smog shop I was ever in. Enjoyed playing the sit down arcade game. Zaxxon, haven't seen that in years. The Staff was nice, Kay (owner and smog man) was a pleasure to talk with. He's a car aficionado. He said he dropped out of medical school to run this shop, because he loves cars!

I came to them back in September 2016 when I revived my current daily driver and realized I was in such a rush to get my vehicle up and running, I never left them a review. I will say their current location compared to previous one is much, much nicer, and you definitely won't miss it since it's a corner building. I rarely venture into downtown san jose, I looked at their shop location on Google Maps, found it instantly as soon as I turned off from Bird onto Auzerais. I will definitely come back again, they've got the best deal around compared to other smog shops that are not gas station smog stations (I don't trust gas stations, just personal preference). I found a Groupon deal for a certain percentage off original price at the last second and they honored the deal, I didn't have to buy it beforehand so that definitely saved me, thanks to them. I had some free time on my hands so I went midday during the week (Thursday afternoon at the time of this posting and had smog check done at noon). I remember Kathy from my first visit, she's a super friendly lady, gave me all the info I needed both over the phone and in person. I think it took around 20-30 minutes, not bad at all considering some places I've been to takes about 45 minutes, and the technician was also incredibly nice and knowledgeable. I am definitely recommending this place to anyone who lives locally in San Jose and those who are willing to drive out here because they took awesome care of me. Thanks Smog Man!
